AI Explorers
Basic Course & Advanced Course Guide
Age: 6–11
- Age Group: 6–11
- Duration: 3 Months
- Lessons: 12 (1 per week)
- Course Type: Foundational
- Track: AI Explorers
Course Overview
The AI Explorers Basic Course introduces young learners to the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence through storytelling, creativity, and interactive learning. Students discover how computers “think,” how AI learns from data, and how it’s used in everyday life — from smart speakers to robots.
Each lesson blends imagination with education, teaching children how to explore technology safely, ethically, and purposefully. By the end, students will understand what AI is, what it can do, and how they can use it to make the world a better place.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, students will:
Understand what Artificial Intelligence is and where it’s used
Learn how computers process information and make simple decisions
Explore how AI can see, hear, and understand language
Recognize the importance of ethics, responsibility, and human creativity in technology
Create their first mini AI idea project
Lesson Breakdown (12 Weeks)
Lesson 1: What Is Artificial Intelligence?
Students are introduced to the concept of AI through fun examples — talking assistants, robots, and games. They learn that AI is a way for computers to “learn” from information.
Lesson 2: How Computers Think
Explores how computers follow instructions, make decisions, and solve problems. Students compare human thinking and computer logic using simple real-world examples.
Lesson 3: Data — The Fuel for AI
Students learn how AI needs data to learn — just like humans learn from experiences. Interactive examples show how data helps AI make predictions.
Lesson 4: Teaching AI to Recognize Patterns
Explains pattern recognition through visual puzzles and games. Students understand how AI identifies shapes, colors, and objects — like recognizing cats vs. dogs.
Lesson 5: How AI Learns from Mistakes
Introduces the concept of feedback and improvement. Through activities, students see how AI gets smarter over time when given corrections.
Lesson 6: AI and the Human Brain
Compares the brain’s neurons to AI’s “neural networks.” Students visualize how signals travel through the brain and how machines try to mimic this.
Lesson 7: Teaching AI to See — Computer Vision
Students explore how cameras and sensors help AI “see.” They experiment with basic examples like facial recognition and image sorting (story-driven).
Lesson 8: Teaching AI to Listen and Talk
Covers voice recognition and chatbots. Students learn how AI understands speech, tone, and meaning — and even creates simple chatbot conversations.
Lesson 9: Art and Creativity with AI
Students explore how AI can create art, music, and stories. They discuss whether AI can truly be creative — and how humans add heart and imagination.
Lesson 10: AI Detectives — Spotting Mistakes and Misinformation
Students learn how to tell when AI makes a mistake or spreads false information. This lesson builds critical thinking and digital literacy.
Lesson 11: Build Your First AI Idea
Guided creative activity — students design their own original AI idea to help people, animals, or the planet. They sketch and describe how their AI would work.
Lesson 12: The AI Explorers Challenge
Final project and celebration week! Students share their AI ideas, receive certificates, and reflect on how AI can make the world kinder, smarter, and safer.
Final Project: “My First AI Creation”
Students will design a concept for a positive, ethical AI project that solves a real-world problem.
They’ll submit drawings, descriptions, and a short explanation of what their AI does and who it helps.
Certificate Awarded
Certificate of Completion – AI Explorers Basic Course
Includes student name, date, verification code, and Technology Institute seal.
AI Explorers – Advanced Course Guide
- Age Group: 6–11
- Duration: 6 Weeks
- Lessons: 6 (1 per week)
- Course Type: Intermediate / Bridge Course
- Track: AI Explorers
Course Overview
The AI Explorers Advanced Course takes young students deeper into the world of AI creation. It’s a six-week adventure where imagination meets real-world thinking — turning creative ideas into early prototypes and introducing foundational coding logic in visual form.
Students will experiment with storytelling, logic puzzles, datasets, and prompt-based AI creation. This course emphasizes how to work with AI tools responsibly and creatively — setting the stage for their next big leap into AI Builders Basic.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, students will:
Understand how AI uses data and logic to make decisions
Begin to “train” simple AIs using visual or simulated tools
Learn how prompts, instructions, and rules shape AI behavior
Create interactive AI-driven stories and games
Develop a beginner mindset of an AI creator with responsibility and ethics
Lesson Breakdown (6 Weeks)
Lesson 1: The AI Adventure Begins — From Idea to Creation
Students revisit what they learned in Basic and begin designing their own AI stories. They learn how every AI project starts with an idea, a purpose, and a clear goal.
Activity: Storyboard your AI’s mission — what problem will it solve?
Lesson 2: Understanding Logic and Rules
Students explore how AI follows “if–then” logic to make decisions. Through games and simple digital tools, they see how machines use conditions to react to situations.
Activity: Build a “smart” story character that responds differently to choices.
Lesson 3: Mini Data Lab — How AIs Learn from Examples
Students simulate teaching AI with examples — like showing pictures of different animals or foods. They begin to grasp how datasets shape what AI understands.
Activity: Create a tiny dataset on paper and “train” a pretend AI to recognize it.
Lesson 4: Talking to AI — The Power of Prompts
Students are introduced to prompt engineering at a simple level. They learn how words, tone, and clarity change AI responses.
Activity: Use safe AI chat interfaces (or mock-ups) to experiment with creative prompts — e.g., “Write a story about a robot who learns kindness.”
Lesson 5: Build Your Own AI Story or Game
Students design their first interactive project — a simple AI-inspired story, quiz, or digital character using what they’ve learned about logic, prompts, and datasets.
Activity: Create an AI character that helps someone — for example, a robot teacher, eco-helper, or animal friend.
Lesson 6: The Great AI Explorer Challenge
Students present their final projects — showing their storyboards, logic diagrams, or prototype ideas. They discuss how AI can be used for good and what makes responsible technology.
Activity: Showcase presentation + reflection on what they learned.
Final Project: “AI for Good Mini Project”
Each student designs and explains one original AI concept that makes life better — for people, communities, or nature.
They’ll present how it works, what it learns, and why it’s ethical.
